General Discussion / Re: Just a curious question about what something is
« on: February 03, 2018, 11:53:26 AM »
hi.
The "loader" screen allows  the user to get the very latest version of the code/game/data/graphics without waiting for a new release.  This is included on all the desktop/steam versions ,  so the user can ( if he wishes) have always the very latest code/data , from our servers ,without needing for a version update.
It also allows to reset the configuration options, as some of them could crash the device, and -without the option to reset them to factory defaults - would be impossible to use.

This system will be available on mobile 1.0.9 shortly

hi. Yep , that bug has been for awhile on certain ( very rare) orbits,  Fixed on 1.0.9 ( soon to be released)
you have iOS or Android ?

I mean , the android version ( slightly more modern than the iOS one ) has this bug fixed.
on the iOS we will wait to the next release.

Hmmmm ,interesting...
We had to remove the old (as in December) text -to-speech as Steam complained that under certain circunstances the wav file created may look funny and triggered some alerts.

So we had to use the windows 10 native text to speech engine( with no distortion ,etc btw)

Which OS did you had? Does your computer has texttospheech installed ?

Thanks

Feature Request / Re: Inclination
« on: January 23, 2018, 02:25:26 AM »
hello jcarrion,

Just to be clear: equatorial/equatorial inclination is one thing, bearing is another one (90 bearing starting at KSC will result in a 25 orbital inclination). I was speaking about inclination (as probably you too in the parameter dialog), not bearing. To my opinion, switching inclination sign in the dialog (and allowing -180 to +180) would be enough for a start...
yep , of course. What I was referring is that -currently -  instead of "inclination" , it should say "bearing". -both being equivalent only if your starting position is on the equator.

For next version , I ll create both ways of defining the orbit . Either the inclination (in degrees, relative to the equator ) , and in Degrees of bearing ( as it is now  -wrongly defined as inclination), defining the starting bearing of the spacecraft

Feature Request / Re: Inclination
« on: January 22, 2018, 09:43:26 AM »
hi,.

well , the range -180.0 +180.0 will be fixed in the next mobile beta release ( too busy now with the Steam launch , )

The term inclination also can be a bit misleading.. as it refers to the bearing of the spacecraft (.i.e.  if you set long/lat coordinates at the pole ,all orbits would be with an inclination of +/-90 degrees, yet still you may want to select the orbital plane.  "Inclination" parameter selects the planet base "bearing" of the spacecraft the position selected.  Probbably we should enable both  methods (bearing and/or  orbital inclination ) in the next mobile release.

hi PcLaurent.

Mars should be now in the correct position.  I guess that would be in the next weekly  automated-beta build .

Thanks.,
