Try this:

Launch to Earth orbit:   
1   Launch from Cape Kennedy to Earth orbit (using Verb 37 Noun 11)
2   Load Docking with Altair Lander mission
3   Perform docking manoeuvre
4   Set fuel to unlimited
5   Use dN to change orbit direction to west to east
6   Transfer from command module to Altair Lander
7   Stage to separate Altair Lander from Altair 3rd stage
8   Transfer from Altair Lander back to command module
Mars orbit transfer:   
9   In Orbit Planner, using SIM:Earth and ORB:Sun
10   Use dV and dT to set transfer orbit beyond Mars (to approximately half way between Mars &  Ceres orbit)
11   Mars projected position should be ahead of SLS (beyond intersection of Mars and SLS orbits)
12   Use time acceleration to move SLS to just ahead of Mars orbit
13   Use Radial - (slow down) to reduce SLS orbit to move to same orbit as Mars and just behind.
14   Use time acceleration to move SLS to catch up with Mars
15   When close to Mars, switch to ORB:Mars
16   Use dV to reduce eccentricity to less than 1 and into elliptical orbit
17   Use Radial to direct SLS towards Mars
18   When eccentricity is <20, use dV to reduce to less than 1 and into approximate circular orbit.
19   Use retrograde to reduce orbit to 4500km and set inclination to 0
Mars injection:   
20   Transfer from command module to Altair Lander
21   Undock Altair Lander from command and service module
22   Use retrograde to reduce Altair Lander orbit to 4000km
23   Move to opposite side of Mars to planned landing site
24   Use retrograde to reduce periapsis to 3500km
25   Use time acceleration to move Altair Lander to when altitude is 250km
26   Use retrograde on full thrust to reduce velocity and altitude
27   When velocity is below 1000m/s use Attitude Radial+ to reduce vertical speed
28   Continue to use Radial+ and retrograde to reduce velocity and vertical speed
29   When altitude is 10km use Radial+ to move Altair Lander to hover
30   Use thrust to reduce velocity and vertical speed
Launch to Mars Orbit:   
31   Use Computer Veb 37 Noun 12 to initiate launch
32   After liftoff, use Manual mode to remove Attitude hold, and apply full thrust
33   When altitude is > 150km use Radial + to change attitude towards horizontal and increase velocity
34   Continue until orbit is reached
35   Circularise orbit to 4000km and adjust inclination to 0
36   Use time acceleration to move Altair Lander to just behind SLS
37   Use prograde to increase Apoapsis to 4500
38   Use Radial + and - to move Altair to rendezvous with SLS
39   Use Docking MFD to dock Altair and SLS
Earth orbit transfer:   
40   Transfer from Altair to SLS
41   Undock Altair Lander from SLS command and service module
42   Increase SLS orbit to 10,000km and circularise.
43   Use time acceleration to move SLS to opposite side of Mars to Earth
44   Use dV and dT to intercept Earth orbit
45   Use Radial+ and - to achieve Earth orbit
Earth descent:   
46   Circularise orbit to about 8000km and adjust inclination to 0
47   Reduce periapsis to about 6300km
48   Use stage to separate Altair from retro rocket pack
49   Use time acceleration until altitude is about 110km
50   Use program 63 to initiate descent

Just to note that I have found how to sort the Lander legs issue - simply by using the 'Gear' command in the Ship menu.

Thanks - just to add that I have managed a Mars landing from docking with the Altair Lander, and then a take-off, redock with orbiting SLS and return to Earth.

It is a shame that beta testers such as thierryspeth seem to have stopped posting. I appreciate the huge pressure that jcarrion must be under, and the fantastic work he has done to date, but I am concerned that some testers may be being put off as a result of lack of response to their posts. I am not sure what the answer is, but thought it worth mentioning.

Just to add, that when I successfully land (after saving and loading), the altitude on landing shows as 4m.

I am not sure if it's the same problem, but I posted a similar issue (under bugs) back in July. When I undock the LM from the CSM in lunar orbit, I get a message saying sometime along the lines of 'LM needs to be docked with LM in order for separation to occur'. I then know that despite the fact that the descent seems to go fine, the LM will crash on landing with the loss of hull and all crew. If I save and reload before undocking, the landing works fine. I thought I had found a solution, but was wrong. Very frustrating! Also struggling to know how to include a screen shot.

As I am sure most will be aware, there have been a number of bugs reported recently. We are also aware of what a fantastic job jcarrion has done on the mobile version. There has been very little response to many of the reported bugs, but this is understandable given how busy he is working on the steam version. I assume that the bugs are being logged and  am hoping that they will be addressed at some stage in the future. I am concerned that the reporting of bugs is proving a distraction to the work on the steam version and wondering if jcarrion would prefer we hold off reporting any more for the time being.  Clearly if the reported bugs are proving useful in the ongoing development, then it is worth continuing to report them. I am sure we would all welcome ApolloGirl's views on this.

Just to add, on a previous attempt I saved the mission at Lunar orbit. If I load this saved mission, then transfer, undock and use program 17 to initiate Lunar descent, then the LM lands safely. I have taken screenshots of the LM shortly before landing with the display in debug mode but don't know how to post these from my iPad to this forum.

As reported under 1.42 Beta testing, I have been trying a continous Apollo mission from Kennedy launch to lunar landing. After reaching Earth orbit I set inclination to 0, and the program 15 for TLI. I use the Orbit Planner to adjust the orbit to intersect the Moon orbit, and then achieve Lunar orbit and set inclination to 0. I reduce apoapsis to approximately 2100km and circularise the orbit. I then transfer from CSM to LM and undock. I then use AGC program 17 to initiate Lunar descent. At 50km altitude program 63 gets automatically initiated, and then at about 3.6km program 64. I use the Ship > Gear command to extend the LM's legs. Everything looks fine, but on landing the LM crashes with complete loss of hull and crew.

I have been trying a full Apollo mission from launch to moon landing (without selecting individual missions).

Bug - unlike release 1.07, no cockpit 'shake'. This detracts from the realism. Would it also be worthwhile having some cockpit shake when staging and docking?

After attaining earth orbit, I use the Orbit Planner when over Africa to set the inclination to zero. I then use the Orbit Planner (dV and dT) to align the trajectory with the Moon's orbit. I accelerate time to move from Earth orbit. With release 1.07, this resulted in initiating the SII/SIV separation. With Beta 1.42, it seems that this has to be done from the cockpit (which in itself is not a problem).

I then use AGC Programs 33 and 79 for transposition and docking and the Orbit Planner for a mid-course correction. On a few occasions the new docking MFD is unresponsive.

After attaining Moon Orbit, I  circularise the Orbit (using Orbit Planner) and reduce altitude to approximately 100km. I then perform the LM/CSM transfer (Cockpit > Ship:Transfer) and LM/CSM Separation (Cockpit > Ship:Undock). I then initiate Lunar descent using AGM Program 17. At about 50km Program 63 gets automatically initiated (on some occasions this doesn't happen and has to be done manually) and at about 3.6km, Program 64.

The descent seems to continue normally, although the LM legs do not appear to be splayed with extending probes as they are in the single mission and the tutorial. Just before landing, both vertical and horizontal speeds are less than 10km/hr. Despite this, landing results in a crash with complete loss of crew and hull. This did not happen in release 1.07.
