General Discussion / Re: Target?
« on: June 20, 2017, 08:40:19 PM »
I don't think you're missing anything.  I think the target is implied by the scenario.  Which of all the ones I've seen I don't recall one with more than one target.  You might be cycling through list of possible targets, but it is a list of one.
Future scenarios may have more.  I think because of the limits of the mobile (memory) environments the scenarios tend to be short which leads to having only one other craft to target.

Just for fun, I played with making a video with Space Simulator.  I post it on facebook. Please excuse the poor quality. The whole thing was recorded and edited on my phone.

Uploaded another copy here

General Discussion / Re: Ceres Challenge
« on: April 22, 2017, 12:05:46 AM »
I have taken my own challenge, and I've have some luck.  I started with the Saturn V in Earth orbit. I did a burn for a Hoffman transfer to Ceres orbit.  When I arrived I was early as usual.  I did a second burn to complete the Hoffman transfer. By that time I was down to just the command module and lander.  I waited in orbit for 4 plus years to catch up to Ceres. At that point I had to turn the unlimited fuel on.  It took about 5 mins to slow from 7000m/s to 600m/s. Then I had reached orbit around Ceres.

It might have been Vesta.  I'll probably go there next. On those small bodies it more of a rendezvous than a landing.  Have you tried orbiting Phobos? Doesn't really work. It just too small.

It's been about a week since I've posted this challenge, I'm still hoping to see some reply and pics.  I'd be interested to hear if anyone landed on Ceres.  🚀

Feature Request / Re: Cassini probe journey

Thanks for sharing this.
Some facts about Cassini (that Google told me)
Lanched Oct 15th 1997
Reached orbit around Saturn on July 1st 2004

To get to Saturn Cassini did two flybys of Venus, one of Earth and one of Jupiter.

This will be the end of a pretty awesome mission.

General Discussion / Ceres Challenge

Has any one here made it to Ceres?  In orbit or landed?  Ceres is one of the few bodies that you can't instantly arrive at by custom missions.  I'd like to challenge the message board readers to reach an orbit around Ceres and/land on the planetoid.  Doesn't matter if you start from Earth or Mars.  Please post pics here or on the Space Simulater facebook page, and post notice of your accomplishment here.
Good luck to everyone who attempts this challenge.

General Discussion / Changes to Goolge's Rating System
« on: January 27, 2017, 03:11:06 AM »
Google has updated their Play Store rating.  Now app's are rated for Gameplay, Controls and Graphics separately.
The orginal reviews are still there, but if you got your copy of Space Simulator from Google, you should pop over and update your rating.
Thanks everyone.
