Graphics glitch posible?
« on: March 09, 2015, 10:20:25 PM »
Hi,

Love the fact that you have done the sim

Feedback etc

Not sure this is a bug - but the umbilical from the service to the command module - shows a gap in game play  in fact its sort of detached from the command module

also can you point to a pdf of the full manual

also some of the scenario launch buttons could be clearer they are lost on the page

also do the tutorials do anything except give you txt ?

and a future suggestion  have a 3d wireframe environment  that you can fly in  - with this you can help you to understand the controls

will try advise / help as i find more bits having used some more - will there be a full os x version ?

Thanks

Paul

hi Merneo.

yep , the umbilical was a bug . Its been fixed for next version

I ll install a PFD plugin in the wiki so users can download it on a single PDF.  Until then , you can browse it as a wiki http://space-simulator.com/wiki2/index.php?title=Main_Page

Well , that text is placeholders. The tutorials are interactive  , guided , tour of all the functionality . We are just completing the first 3 .  ( also , in next version)

There was a 3D wireframe  "overall" plan for orbits , planets, trajectories and so . But for the mobile version we found it was  almost impossible to use with the touch screen.

Yep , PC & Mac should come soon..

next version is being uploaded in a day , so It ll be available around next monday ! with all the fixes/bugs/etc.. done >

Thanks !

Hi,

Not seen the update yet ?

Hows it going is the app selling? well i Hope  - notice no reviews yet

Are screen shots developer only option?

as they would help for debugging etc ?

I wanted to take one to show you the umbilical  but did not know how or if possible

did you get my private message ?

wondered what you thought ?

hi ! .
Well , the update is finished in 3 days , and then will take 7 days for Apple to aproove. Then will be automatically updated in your device.

The app is selling ok .. not much (is a 5 dollars app ! ) but so far so good . We are 'just' about being able to work 100% on this , so the pace of development will increase astronomically.  :)

Well,  you can take any screenshot from your device , just press the "start"  + "sleep" button on the iPad and It ll grab a screenshot on the gallery. This is an iOS thing , will work with any app on your ipad .

yep , the umbilical was definitely a bug ( same as the "hollow" apollo  ) . It has been fixed here (all the fixes/ improves for this version  )

http://space-simulator.com/wiki2/index.php?title=Version_History

Re Falcon   yep ,  we are actually having it modelled on a rush .Will be probbably for version 1.0.3

Thanks ! .

Hi, Thanks for that

Need a name ? first is fine whats the J?

Was serious about contacting them at Space x

If your physics are good - I am not qualified to judge  it could be a simple app that they may use for some basic training

and a lot cheaper than an expensive sim mock up - don't get me wrong they will have a mock up and full function

you might be able to offer then some thing else - you don't know  they are a progressive company  what better than a public domain app thats as good a trainer as there own

and lots of people could learn to be a Space x pilot and a implied endorsement from a up and coming space company  not bad

for the future commercial spacecraft i think the ISS is having two of its nodes repositioned  to accommodate the ability of two visiting craft at a time  possible one cargo one crew

 http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2015/02/astronauts-spacewalk-re-wire-iss-commercial-crew/

this and additional sections may help

Have you had a mention in there forums  not sure its pc but happy to give you a shout

thanks for the screen shot bit am still quite new to IOS

thanks

Paul

Hi,

Have taken a screen now - and just need find the way to get to my laptop - lol  Just not that much iOS me but as now got a pad trying to figure it out

In the shuttle approaching the Iss - is there what looks like a ground track on the earth - not sure this is a glitch or the fact I only have an iPad 2 64Gb ? iOS 7.1.2

post screen asap

would blue tooth controllers ever be an option as they have physical joysticks ?

also the yaw controller left hand stick is quite hard to use often puts thrust in at same time  don't know if this kills authenticity but as you have buttons spare could you have a yaw only that locks out thrust ?

Paul

ps I only wish i could fly this well  it is going to take me an age to master if ever

Hi, jcarrion!

I notice the graphics glitch too. In the update 1.0.3 the sun is very dark or almost black. The sun should be white. Please see attached. Thanks!

Hi, jcarrion!

I noticed something strange with the sun and possibly other features in space simulator 1.0.5. I noticed that the sun looks really small and very dark on my larger iPad compared to what I see on my iPad mini. Please see attached which shows the sun really small and very dark. Thanks!

                   Cheers,

hi Vincent.

You can select /deselect the sun glare options under the "SUN SHAFTS" toggle in the config menu. You probbably have different settings on your devices.

Thanks

This may be old news. Just downloaded yesterday on iPhone 6 with latest IOS 9.1. Noticed some polygon flashings and flashing lines on earth while doing the shuttle landing mission.
