Space simulator IOS 1.0.5 CTD
« on: November 14, 2015, 05:23:00 PM »
Hi, guys!

I have a problem. When I run the space simulator IOS 1.0.5 for a few hours, the space simulator IOS 1.0.5 CTD. Does anyone else experience this problem? Please see attached which shows the space simulator IOS 1.0.5 CTD. Thanks!

Update: I did some more tests. It sounds like the space simulator IOS 1.0.5 CTD every time I play space simulator IOS 1.0.5 for a few hours.

                  Cheers,
               Vincent

Hi, guys!

I deleted, redownloaded & reinstalled the space simulator iOS 1.0.5, the space simulator iOS 1.0.5 still CTD as mentioned in my last post when playing space simulator iOS 1.0.5 for a few hours, and I restarted the iPad, still the same thing. What now? Thanks!

                      Cheers,
                 Vincent

hi Vincent.

Well ,iOS apps tend to crash , when running constantly for hours.  Even safari closes/crashes . This is something to do with iOS memory usage. The larger the memory in the device, the less likely it happens. But it does happen .

Essentially every app is creating some text in the background ( debug info , system messages, etc) . Space Sim uses the GPU a lot in a strange way ( to create those scattering effects ) that eventually -after a few hours , sometime 3 , simetime 5 hours of continuous running - should crash . There is not workaround about this. On the other hand , even the battery is not meant to last that much.

of course ,if you kill the app ( "pinch in gesture" , then swipe up )  and restarts should be ok .

Hi, jcarrion!

That makes sense! Thanks! I notice that the space simulator IOS 1.0.3 hardly ever CTD like for example running the space simulator iOS 1.0.3 for days without the space simulator iOS 1.0.3 CTD.

               Cheers,
             Vincent
