Betatest Area / Re: How to become a beta tester?
« on: November 06, 2016, 02:30:13 PM »
From a brief initial test:

I love the idea of being able to quickly hide all of the open windows at the touch of a button. I'm not really liking the auto lock feature however. I think it should be a manual toggle for players, or at least have the option for that. I found the auto lock to be frustrating as I like to adjust my windows on the fly, and having to constantly unlock to do that just adds an extra step.

Awesome job adding the gemini mission. I am looking forward to testing that out soon.

Report your Bugs here! / Re: Inclination Changes
« on: October 08, 2016, 02:35:16 PM »
To elaborate more, I did a anti normal burn at ascending node with planner and it made my inclination bigger, but when I did it manually through the game it made it smaller. Now I believe if I'm doing the physics right that the game is correct and the planner is incorrect.

Maybe I'm just crazy here (please double check this) but when you do a normal or anti normal burn in the orbit planner it's opposite results of when you do it in game manually. Makes me think that the +normal button is actually -normal and same for the -normal button.

Hi Apollo, I still haven't received any email yet. Hopefully it didn't get lost in my junk mail folder!

Thank you for posting what you have, and yes it would be fantastic to have a complete document.

Feature Request / Re: Need Better way to determine attitude
« on: October 05, 2016, 06:47:44 PM »
I found a way that mostly works. On the main display screen there is a value for heading in units of rads. To convert that to degrees you multiply by 180 and divide by Pi. That gives you the heading in degrees. 0 points toward north pole, 90 west, 180 is toward south pole and 270 is east. If it is possible to change the units of display from rad to degrees it would help mobile users quite a bit and we could probably get by without a better nav ball. Using this method I was able to manually rendezvous with CSM starting from lunar ascent.

An example of a very well done navball is the one used in Kerbal Space Program.

By the way If anyone has any other ways to accurately determine attitude that are already in the game please let me know!

Feature Request / Need Better way to determine attitude
« on: October 05, 2016, 01:38:32 PM »
I'm struggling to find a way to accurately determine my attitude. The nav balls on the flight computer are not very helpful as they do not have any angle markings on them. The only markings are prograde and retrograde which is not enough. I also tried using verb 16 and noun 17 but it too is not helpful enough as the roll values change with pitch. The reason I ask for this is during lunar ascent for rendezvous with csm it's hard to determine which direction to take off in to match orbit without trial and error and using orbital map.

CAn we also get a list of all the functioning verb and noun combos in the game. Most of the ones I have tried online have no function in game.

Report your Bugs here! / Re: Crash when spacecraft crashes

If you have any of the information display windows open while switching missions the game will crash. Close all of those little windows after your vessel is destroyed and then switch mission. It will avoid the crash until bug is fixed by developers.

I have been able to consistently reproduce one of the crash bugs in the game. If you try to change missions with any of the display windows open, the game will crash. If you close all the windows and then change the mission, it goes through without crashing. This is occurring on v 1.06 with an iPad Mini 2 running iOS10.

Report your Bugs here! / Total Mass
« on: September 29, 2016, 03:51:48 AM »
I noticed that the total mass of the vessel does not take into account docking, but only which vessel is currently being piloted. So if I dock the CM and the LM and set myself to control from the LM, only the mass of the LM is indicated. I'm not sure if that has any impact on the physics simulation of the game.
