IOS 1.05 Orbital Planner Issues
« on: November 13, 2015, 11:47:55 AM »
My first impression of 1.05 is that the graphics are vastly improved, and the addition of X-15 is great. However, there still seem to be problems with the orbital planner. In 1.03 there were problems with Delta V (using the Sun as reference) when trying a Mars transfer. The problem seems to have got worse in that Delta V does not appear when trying a Saturn transfer. It may be that something has changed and I am doing something wrong, but thought it wort reporting. I feel that inter-planetary travel us one of the key features of the Simulator, and not being able to do it will detract from what is a great app.

As with 1.03, I am continuing to get 'total loss of hull and crew' when trying to perform some orbital planner manoeuvres

Hi .

yep , we just realized the saturn's rings may be missing on some devices. Next version will have them fixed thou.  :(

Working on those issues on the orbit planner.  Being totally rewritten , using a finite-element solver , so the path of the spacecraft will be simulated ( rather than predicted )  . that will solve most stuff..
