Orion space plane and earth re-entry
« on: November 28, 2015, 05:10:56 AM »
I'm having problem with earth re-entry using the Orion space plane. It seems I have to pitch the plane up to 60 degrees or so otherwise I get the stress indicator. Then trying to keep it at this attitude is very difficult. After that once I am descending in the atmosphere beyond the point where the plane was heating up from re-entry, the plane will just blow up.

So I'm not sure whether I'm doing something wrong or if there is a bug with earth re-entry and the Orion space plane. Please advise as I'm really enjoying this sim but really would like to land the plane to get that sense of a complete journey :)

Having managed several re-entries with 1.03, I've just experienced the same problem as above with 1.04

abobe 60 degrees seems ok, the shuttle rentry is difficult too especially if you want to make the long s shaped turns. not impossible i think, not sure it is a bug.
